The satellite rights of Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer upcoming much awaited movie ‘2.0’ has been sold out for whooping price of Rs 110 Cr. Sources says that Zee TV has acquired the satellite rights of all versions including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil & Malayalam languages and paid Rs 110 Cr for the TV rights.
However, neither the Channel nor the makers has made a formal announcement about this deal. If the news comes true, Rajinikanth 2.0 gets the credit as the highest paid Indian film for the Satellite rights. In this manner, 2.0 is set to beat the record of SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture ‘Baahubali 2’ which is estimated to have made about Rs 100 Cr from the sale of Satellite rights.
2.0 is directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Production. It is being made on the lavish budget of Rs 400 Cr and set to hit the theaters on the occasion of Diwali.
